Taekwondo L stance         Niunja sogi

On L stance the feet should be one and a half shoulder widths apart (see diagram).

In L stance the weight is mostly on the back foot; 70 per cent of the weight should be on the back foot and 30 percent on the front foot.

Shifting weight to the back leg gives more control and makes it easier to kick with the front leg.

In L stance both legs should be slightly bent. The back foot or the foot with the most weight on it should be bent in slightly with the back knee over the foot.

In L stance the body faces to the side, with the front foot facing forwards, front leg bent. The back  foot is turned outwards at right angles to the front foot. .

All techniques in L-Stance are half facing.
